Investment Dealers' Digest recognizes Lloyd Harmetz on this year's "40 Under 40" list. The list honors those business leaders who "have become stars, or rising stars, in the capital markets and related sectors" in a short amount of time.

Lloyd Harmetz, a capital markets partner at Morrison & Foerster LLP, has been extremely active in helping the firm’s financial services clients navigate the current financial crisis. During the last few months, he has advised issuers and underwriters of debt securities, equity securities and financial products, revising and restructuring the terms of proposed issuances, and the forms of offering documentation, to reflect the latest developments in the market. During the crisis, he has also helped to advise holders of securities issued by troubled banks and bank holding companies as to their rights as investors.

At the age of 39, he also has a wide variety of international experience, working in the U.S., as well as in positions in China, Japan and Israel, with U.S. and non-U.S. clients; in these positions, he advised as to these companies’ issuances of equity, debt and hybrid securities.

Lloyd is also frequent writer and lecturer on developments in the securities laws and capital markets transactions.
